Steamed Cauliflower and Green Beans

Steamed Cauliflower and Green Beans easy, delicious steamed vegetable recipe.

We absolutely love the fresh raw dill sauce on the lightly steamed cauliflower and green beans!

  • For The Sauce:
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 cup organic cream of coconut or coconut milk
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • pinch turmeric
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • For The Vegetables
  • 1 cup bite sized pieces fresh grean beans
  • 1 small head cauliflower, trimmed and broken or cut into bite-sized florets (2 - 3 cups)

  • First, make the sauce: In a mixing bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour
  • Bring the filtered water to a boil in a steamer or in a saucepan with a steamer insert
  • Add the green beans, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cauliflower, cover, and continue steaming until the vegetables are tender but still slightly firm, 5 - 7 minutes more
  • When the vegetables are done, arrange them on a platter, in a serving dish, or on individual plates.
  • Pour the sauce over them and serve immediately

Recipe Tips:

The ingredients can be found in most supermarkets. If you can't find fresh dill, I would say use dried, or substitute a different fresh herb, such as basil, parsley or cilantro.
