Chipotle Mayonnaise

Warning: Chipotle mayonnaise is addictively tasty. It's an especially unbeatable combination with Baked Sweet Potato Fries, OR Spicy Tempeh Tacos OR Chickpea Black Bean Veggie Burgers OR Baked Tofu.

Fortunately chipotle mayo is extremely easy to make, and it's even cheap to make if you use our homemade Tofu Mayonnaise.

Make chipotle mayonnaise thick & spreadable for sandwiches, or thin it a bit with non-dairy milk for a sauce, dip or dressing.

  • 1 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 1/8 tsp chipotle pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a whisk or stick blender to combine
  2. OR blend in a blender or food processor
  3. Thin with 1 or 2 Tbsp of unsweetened non-dairy milk to make a sauce, dressing or dip
  4. Store chipotle mayonnaise in an airtight container in the fridge, for up to 2 weeks

Recipe Tips:

Chipotle Mayonnaise can be made with any mayonnaise, or a combination of mayo and non-dairy milk or yogurt, if you want a thinner mixture.

Our homemade tofu mayonnaise recipe has a light consistency, and makes this chipotle mayo perfect for adding to tacos or as a salad dressing.

Using cashew mayonnaise or commercial vegan mayonnaise as a base for chipotle mayo will produce a thicker mixture, as shown in the picture.
