Easy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Basic vegan frosting goes well with almost any cake recipe

You can never go wrong with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting, and this vegan frosting recipe is easy to adapt.

For a children's party, we like to frost our chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting, and cover them with sprinkles.

Cooking Tips: Substitute different flavored extracts for the vanilla, add lemon or orange zest and substitute citrus juice for 2 Tblsp of the almond milk, change the color with food coloring, or substitute vegan cream cheese for the butter and leave out the almond milk.

Makes enough frosting for one 9 inch 2 layer cake

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup vegan margarine
  2. 1 lb powdered sugar
  3. 2 tsp vanilla
  4. 3 Tblsp of almond milk

Cupcake Directions:

  1. Cream all ingredients together until creamy and smooth.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
