Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Baked Sweet Potato Fries: Easy sweet potato recipe that goes well with black bean burgers or other veggie burgers.

Sweet potatoes are rich in fiber and vitamin A and caramelize deliciously when prepared as baked sweet potato fries.

Sweet Potato Fries are delicious as is, BUT they are DIVINE dipped in Chipotle Mayonnaise!

Ingredients:

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Fresh black pepper to taste

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Toss sweet potato wedges with oil, salt, and pepper
  • Arrange wedges in a single layer on prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes, turning over after 10 minutes
  • Serve hot with ketchup, chili sauce or Chipotle Mayonnaise

Recipe Tips:

The sweet potato fries will not cook properly if they are not baked in a single layer. If you have too many wedges to fit in one pan, use a second pan.

If your fries aren't crispy enough: Turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.

For garlic sweet potato fries, mince four cloves of garlic and toss with a tsp of oil. Sprinkle oil-tossed garlic over the sweet potatoes for the last 10 minutes of baking.

OR just sprinkle garlic salt on the sweet potatoes instead of plain salt.
