We like to think that Savvy Veg visitors like the same things we do. Our articles reflect our interests and concerns about vegetarian diet and nutrition, organic and non-gmo food, green living and sustainability, and alternative health.
Of course we check to see how people find us, the most popular pages, and all that sort of stuff. But those are just statistics. Feedback from real people is more important.
Please tell us if you find what you're looking for, if you like what you find, or if you don't find what you want. We appreciate your comments, questions, and suggestions.
We don't have time to write everything ourselves, and we appreciate it when people send us content. We can't pay for articles, but feel free to practice on Savvy Vegetarian, get free publicity, or get publishing credit for your resume. Read on for our article guidelines.
1) Great Content: Easy to read, thoughtful, substantial information that will catch our visitors interest, offer clear benefits, and positive alternatives. See point #7.
2) Relevance: Vegetarian, green, sustainable. Not too much self-promotion. Check out some of the articles in the index - you'll find there's lots of scope.
3) Good Written English: We will edit where necessary for length or clarity without altering content, but we have our limits! Please edit before submitting your article!
4) Links and References: Two embedded links allowed per article. Please provide URL's for links. List offline references in a standard format at the bottom of the page, with reference numbers inserted in the text.
5) Keywords: We need keywords for the search engines, so visitors will find your article when they search. Give us 3-4 main keywords or keyword phrases, which are used in your page title and intro text.
6) The Right Length: Not too long, not too short. 500 - 1000 words is good. But we'd rather you went a bit over than compromise your content.
7) NO: Porn, swearing, slander, libel, plagarism, or copyright busting. If you have great content, there shouldn't be a problem. See point #1.
